Green and Healthy Management Strategies for Multifamily Properties

This two-day course is offered by Greenspace and the National Center for Healthy Housing. It is designed to provide affordable housing property owners/managers with the tools to reduce energy, water, and contaminants and improve resident health. Improved operations and maintenance practices are essential to managing buildings that are more cost effective, green and support healthier environments for your residents. Key topics include:

  • Benchmarking
  • Energy reduction through heating, cooling and lighting
  • Water and waste reduction
  • Ventilation
  • Pests and Contaminants
  • Tenant Education

Successfully completing the course satisfies HUD's green training requirements under HUD's Mark to Market Green Initiative and Recovery Act/Green Retrofit Program as well as the National Affordable Housing Management Association's (NAHMA's) training requirements for their Credential for Green Property Management.
