A Methodology for Conducting an Investment Grade Audit of Multifamily Properties
The Enterprise Retrofit Audit Protocol provides guidelines for producing an audit report that evaluates a multifamily property’s readiness for a retrofit that reduces energy and water consumption, improves resident and staff health, and reduces the impact on the environment. The purpose of the Protocol is to establish transparency and consistency in methodology and content so that the resulting audit report can be used for underwriting debt on the property tied to projected energy and water savings.
Enterprise Community Partners is using the Protocol in its national retrofit initiatives and invites others engaged in multifamily retrofit to adopt as well. Comments and questions regarding the Protocol can be directed to retrofit@enterprisecommunity.org.
